Yes it was at the moment it appeared on market and yes it is still the "worst nightmare" for other md manufacturers, 5 years after!
Was that farsighted or what?
Did i named it "the revolution" 5 years ago? Yes i did!
If you collect all the possible Youtube video demonstrations in last 5 years, where one model is glorified and another is put in inferior position;
you'll count the largest number of those with exactly XP Deus as the "victim" which is tried to put in inferior position!
How come? Why? Are there no other top notch models on market?

Look, even the great Minelab is not indifferent towards Deus facts.
As i heard they filed lawsuits against XP.
And that's only the tip of the iceberg.
XP is under the constant fire from all around.
But you know what they say; what doesn't kill you - makes you stronger!

The only positive is that it is wireless.

With a lot of programs and settings where you have little or no benefit from.
Perhaps one, Gm power. Deus fast is useless.
Instead to use Deus fast you can better search with a Garrett pinpointer because then you get deeper.

But totally awesome is that the most advanced program for the Deus XP is: yes, the multi-tone all metal.

I had two of those. Before them i had Eagle IIc in blue box.
Than i had two large Spectrums.
Than i had newer one, the XLT.
Than DFX...
And so on....
But since you are listing all the features, you reminded me exactly on old Spectrum.
Now... where is the progress? From Spectrum till Deus? What would be the progress?
Progress is in much much smaller size and weight. Smaller battery too.
Wireless coil. And significantly improved sensitivity, improved separation, more accurate VDI and adjustable recovery speed.
Overall it is much smaller machine, very easy to carry and handle.
For me most significant improvement is splendid sensitivity on smallest items and splendid separation in trashy soils.

You know the big project is stopped and it have cost a lot of time and money.
I take now more time for my family and for myself and my health has definitely not improved but it has become worse. The detector I announced in the past is not finished yet.
I'm making him into modules to make it easier to make step by step the modul and test it for that you make the next one. In this way is it easier for everyone to detect/trace the mistakes. The Nupi pp in SMD and more stable than this one is stopped by insufficient time.

Eventually it will. You only have to take it on places where there is a gold! Simple as that!
Seriously now; gold is tough target even for Deus.
Next problem is; gold is rare. Golden coins and artifacts are extremely rare. At least here in my area.
Every once in a while somebody is having such struck of luck. But exposed in percentages it becomes very small percentage.
And one simple truth for the end, success in these "business" lies in "quantity"; more you go outdoor with your detector: greater the chances for success.
(same as with girls and women, more "No" you get from them: more "Yes" you'll collect in time!!!)

This season was first time for me finding gold, hunting fresh lakes beaches (waterhunt). I can't compare Deus with other detectors because it is the only one i've tried. I know is deep on the rings.
