There is only one detector better than Deus - it is Deus with larger coil!

Ottman merchants don't like to dig deep! *laugh*
Yesss !!!My personal congratulations!
btw. you may find 25m +- of such roads still stuff.
And nothing bad against your magnetometer!
If we take a look at marine magnetometers
they can detect cannons and other big stuff
from a pretty far distance, if they are good
or in combination with sidescan sonars etc.
And if such a sea-magneto detects 10m far
away ironhoards also a hand-held can do it.

I don't even recall the simple facts anymore.
Anything from lumberjack&chainsaw simple life; just ask, i am mostly into that now.

> BTW my magentometer detects small iron pliers at 3.5 meters in air.
Meaning actually not much in real world situations.
What? Not much??? These are unbelievable great results !!!
Then you can detect sunken tanks from 50m?
As long as the region is not polluted with rusty nails. *laugh*

Anybody restless as i am?
I already know the specs, more or less, too many rumors around it, so it is not hard to anticipate.
I also saw a new enclosure of the remote.
What i don't know yet is the price.
Price will be the most deciding factor in my case (and huge majority others).
I like to make wild assumptions about this.
If the price is too high; most probably i will never see it alive, my modest budget will not allow it.
If the price is medium; most probably i will see it alive but not as my own detector.
If the price is affordable (impossible case); most probably i will see it alive and as my own detector; late in next summer.
This is why i still haven't see in alive any Minelab newer than Explorer. They gone wild with the prices and here in this area nobody buying that.
Sites are totally exhausted. Nothing to find anymore. So, counting; that it will be the investment that will pay back in time: is not serious thinking and planning.
So who will buy it? Only a few with a money.
Another indirect indicator to prove this; here in this area we have 90% of Bulgarian and Turkish detectors in use, in last several years.
Why? Those perform just good enough for the money. Along with fact that finds are so rare last years.
Taking into account progressive covid situation and what came along with it; i think the situation in MD world will change, this is exactly the point of no return.
Our hobby will change. Things will never be the same.
9 years ago i saw pretty clearly the XP Deus situation and its bright future.
Today, 9 years later... i am sorry i can't say the same for the newcomer on market.
Don't get me wrong; i would really be happy to be wrong about this.
Whoever gets it any sooner; congratulations! And be fair to inform us here about it.

Multi frequency machine will have major advantage in more accurate target classification.
As well as more adaptive to soil conditions.
More depth? Tough. Yes there will be some improvements but not so significant.
So we can expect important improvements mostly in target classification.
What's else better at new machine?
Enclosure is first that is obvious. More rigid and waterproof.
Probably a battery with longer life.
Also probably more jingle&bells. In a form of this and that...
...
As for the depths; i still haven't seen anything deeper than Garrett GTI2500 and Fisher CZ5; if we speak only about VLF I/B detectors.
And if we speak only about raw depths.
Unfortunately; raw depth doesn't make the machine universally good.
I recall at the time; CZ5 was most accurate machine on the market to distinguish horse shoe, the most undesired target.
It was able to do that directly because of the "multi frequency" approach, they tried to achieve at the time.
And GTI2500 was unbelievable deep in AM mode. Unbeaten until today.
...
So, hopefully new Deus 2 will be able to tell the difference between horse shoe and good targets.
What i would really like to see at the machine is thick aluminum and lead separation from good targets.
I don't mind the depths that much.
I am having troubles mostly with thick aluminum and lead trash in soil.
