No announcement yet.
There is only one detector better than Deus - it is Deus with larger coil!

Rivers Rat pointed me on that earlier.
I find it pretty usable in some situations.
Cheers!

BTW are they still exist?
I had chance to hold Coin Scanner in my hands, once, in the deep past, it was good machine.
Cheers!

After a while i am suspecting my wifi which is usb-flash-lookalike (TP-LINK TL-WN721N).
I have integrated lan port which is disabled right now, because i am using wifi on usb.
So problem must be there; somehow lan is still holding some resources and acts as "primary".
But than i tried on my laptop which is having integrated wifi and SUCCESS!
Update succeed!
Everything is done without any problem.

First impressions on V3.0 ...
tough to say something more detailed because i am trying it indoor.
It is definitely more quiet on irons; no doubt in that!
There are 10 programs and 8 empty places for custom programs.
I copied Fast on 11. place in memory and did some trimming on it.
Checked new options and most of those i do like!
One thing i don't like are extended GEB ranges, because now i will have to do more "knobing" when manually adjust GEB during the searching.
I am used on frequent manual GEB adjusting and it usually goes like : from 84 down to 76 and back, depends on soil conditions.
Usually i had to "knob" it once for one cypher, now i would have to "knob" it several times for one cypher! Sheeeesh!
Extended GEB ranges are real BENEFIT and i do understand that; but because of my habits it will give me more "labor" !
Will see.
Early to make decent conclusion, but on skim look i am pretty satisfied with V3.0 so far.
Real test will be one of these days outdoor on real soil...
Until than!

Yesterday went outdoor to test V3.0
Overall impressions leads to decision: i will keep it!
I am not sure if is just my imagination or is it reality; but all the time working in Fast and GMP i had impression that those are not performing the same as at V2.0
Can't explain exactly why i had such impression.
Only noticeable difference is that those now are much calmer and quieter on small iron particles in soil.
Also i have impression that audio is a bit sharper now.
Maybe just my imagination?
Yes i had more "labor" knob-ing GB... more than i like!
I really like Gold program!
It simply can't miss a thing in soil!
With IAR set to 0 there is no audio discrimination, only VDI numbers are indicating a target.
With IAR set to 5 there is audio discrimination too.
Audio is crackling than and that reminds me much on Minelab's which i used in the past.
With note that V3.0 is much deeper than those Minelab's.
I think i will love Gold program much, later in my work.
Right now i feel like i am again at beginning in learning to mastering Deus, because all the time yesterday i had strong impression that it is not the same machine.
Is it deeper now? Seems a bit.
Is it calmer? Yes it is!
Is it more stable on soil? Yes it is.
Still is to early to say something more relevant.
But shortly; yes i do like it.

Forgot to mention; a friend with Deus V2.0 was yesterday with me too.
We intentionally went there with two versions, to compare.
A friend "located" strong mineralization at some spot on soil.
We knew it was large hotrock, because we intentionally picked that location.
So he called me there when he "located" that mineralization.
His Deus with V2.0 and GMP program was "wheeeeow" -ing all the time above that spot.
I approached there with V3.0 and GMP with same adjustments.
My Deus with V3.0 was not "wheeeeow" -ing there almost at all.
Maybe produced just few mum "whhhisss" at the borders of detection.
That was most direct test and proof that V3.0 is much calmer.
Later we had some finds. Some coins.
All the finds were regular (meaning those would be founded with majority of MD models) except one coin.
That particular coin was fully covered with hotrocks and iron particles.
Depth was 15cm.
V2.0 indicated it as "semi colored" item with clean tone in the middle and dirty (iron. low pitched) tone at borders.
V3.0 indicated it as excellent target with nice and clean tone through whole detection area.
VDI number was 98!
...
Will continue testing it.

Bad news from me; i can't adapt nor adopt V3.0 so easy...
I will return on V2.0 tonight.
Last couple days i spent my time on several different terrains trying to get used on V3.0.
Only two programs i am aimed on are Fast and GMP.
Those don't work the same on V3.0 as they work on V2.0... period!
Fast on V2.0 is my most favorite program ever.
On V3.0 i can't recognize it form time to time!?
It would need pages to write here, me to explain why i think those are not the same.
I don't have will for such labor so shortly i am only saying: i can't adapt nor get used on V3.0 so far.
Only thing i will be sorry about is Gold program which i like much on V3.0.
I wander if there is any chance to add Gold program on V2.0 ?
BTW just compared Fisher F70 and Deus on testing field.
Fisher F70 is cute machine but far bellow Deus's league, no doubts at all.

But even that went with problems.
At the very end of updating to V2.0 PC updater reported me problems and stopped at some 85% !?
When i unplug Deus and power it ON it is working ok, despite previous error.
I guess previous V3.0 left some traces in memory or what; so crc must not be the same or something.
I did several skim indoor tests and checks and seems V2.0 is fully operational, despite that error.
Seems everything is alright.
