    Sea Hunter 2 waterproof connectors

Is there anyone out there ????

surely, someone has recently bought the Garrett sea Hunter 2 water proof connectors and done a DIY job instead of sending the detector away for repairs

      Have you tried contacting Garrett?

        Hy
        I have contacted Garrett direct.
They used to supply them some years ago when the detector was first launched, but they do not sell parts individually for them now.

They wanted me to return my headphones to them for them to repair.

As a team leader for our metal detecting club on the costa blanca we have 10 members who use the garrett sea hunter 2 in the sea.

Most of us have had problems with these waterproof connectors and i wanted them as spares, but they were not interested.

Is this the connector that has both male & female pins? If so, it is custom for Garrett, you cannot buy it anywhere else, and I've heard from several people that Garrett refuses to sell them.

            yes, they are the ones

Really bad design and the pins can easily be bent.
I read somewhere that Garrett had bought the company that manufactured them so not to allow DIYs to buy them.
Its the same connector used on the Garrett Infinium so they must be currently available.

            Hey ho.........
