Looks like a reasonable replacement.....watch the basing diagram is different....reverse I think !! Easy to make a mistake here.....believe me.
Don't you have any 2N**** devices over there??? Can you order from Digi Key or Jameco ??? Or maybe even this one....

These are general purpose NPN & PNP transistors. Just about anything should work, 2N3904 & 2N3906 in the US.

Carl is correct, also can work BC548 & BC558 , these are general purpose complementary transistors.

thanks guys I was looking and I figured general npn and pnp bipolar but then I thought no thats way to easy ive got a long way to go and a lot of things to learn
