  • Conductive Cement for PCB compoenent mounting vs. solder

I was in Radio Shack the other day and picked up a tube of conductive cement (glue) that is supposed to be able to be used in place of soldering components onto PCBs.

Anyone have experience using this product? I have a Tesoro Cutlass II uMax that I am considering modifying with a GB and Threshold pots and thought the glue would be easier than soldering on a surface mount PCB.

    Thanks for looking.

that stuff is not realy thick it runs alot and you have to hold the parts in place nearly over night they say its for making wire connections. i tried to make a battery pack with it and it wouldnt hold i think its trash

Thanks for the response. I figured it wasn't as easy as it looked. I thought it was more like an instant glue.
