    does anyone know if i have a 35mhz o-scope and used a 100mhz probe would i still get an correct reading or do i need probes closer to the freq of the scope anyone with knowledge on the subject i would most appreciate your input thanks

    No problem with this. It is even better to have probe BW higher, or at least equal to scope BW. Only thing you need to do is to adjust proper probe compensation (adjustment somewhere on probe body or connector) using signal provided on scope (marked like Cal. or Probe comp. or alike) in order to mach that particular probe type to that particular scope input. Adjustment is in essence for best looking square wave, with no overshot or slow edges. Then you can make perfectly good measurement, up to scope BW.

      ok thanks that was simple so just adjust the cap till the square wave on the front is square thanks again
