  • Starter cheap oscilloscope for tuning detectors

    Hello all,

I am looking into buying PC oscilloscope (cheaper)
I was looking for 2 channel 20 MHz one ...
testing of most detectors today can be done with that ?

Can please you look into this one from ebay and reply

This one will be OK. If you use it with a laptop on batteries, you do not need to worry about galvanic insulation. However, a laptop is a powerful noise source, so take care about that when you use it with a detector coil nearby.
IMHO a good CRO is always a better choice for low noise applications in amateur use. A good self-contained DSO is also OK, but still more expensive.

I have a offer of cheap CRO (under 50 EURO) but op to 10 MHz and one channel... also big and OLD

this one (Hantek) is probably better long term.

      Thank you Davor

If you keep watching, you'll most probably find a better CRO for about the same amount. 2 channel and 20MHz should be a norm. Single channel will not get you far
