LF147 ~ LF347 for higher reliability applications (Military and Aerospace grade)
LF247 ~ LF347, industrial grade device.
LF347 Consumer grade device.
LF347 Quad Wide Bandwidth Op Amp, JFET, LM324 / LM348 pinout (NSC)
LF347J ~ LF347 in a ceramic DIP
LF347J-SMD LF347 in a ceramic surface mount case
LF347M ~ LF347 in a SOIC case
LF347BN ~ LF347 in a ? case
LF347N ~ LF347 in a plastic DIP case
LF147 is a high-grade device. It is specified to be able to run at higher supply voltages, consume less power, lower noise, and generally improved characteristics over the LF347 devices.
The chip is tested in the die form (before it goes into a case). Those with superior characteristics are put in ceramic cases and labeled as LF147J.
The “better than average, but not superior” devices end up labeled “LF247”. Those that meet specs end up labeled “LF347”.
Those that don’t meet specs are usually destroyed, or sold off by the pound to unknown people. Parts that don’t measure up to specs usually never get the part number stamped on them.
Beware of buying IC that do not have proper stampings.
The LF347 is a bipolar FET input op amp that comes four to a package. They have the same pin out as the LM324, and has all-around better specs than the LM324.
