  • SMD adaptors

I searched for some SMD adaptors back in January. Futurlec was the only one that had some that looked good at a reasonable price so I ordered some. After a couple weeks not getting them I searched Futurlec on Geotech. One thread, Carl said he quite using Futurlec so I wondered if I would get them. I finally got them maybe a month after I ordered them. Other than shipping by row boat, I will order some more. They make it easier than hard wiring to the SMD chips direct. Should be a more reliable circuit. They make it harder to get the bypass capacitors close to the chips but the couple circuits I've made seem to work alright. Etching a circuit would be better but I keep changing the schematic as I learn. Hard wiring allows me to modify the circuit easier.
