stupid rookie question about what wire to use.

inside the detector box you usually have a pile of wires running from the board and my question is what kind of wire and what size I am guessing at 22 ga stranded wire as the wires in my Tesoro are solid and thin and very fragile and I want to replace them

Not that critical. 22 will be fine


But keep them as short as possible.

Ya Tesoro's use some yucky wire. I replace them all with 22 ga teflon coated wire.

Just make sure to draw a wiring diagram first! (or take pictures).
