I have something similar to the last one. Can't fault it. You do also need a multi meter. Cheap ones tend to be very slow at measuring things like resistors. Not great if a whole board needs testing. A second hand basic auto ranging fluke

I bought a cheap ebay inductance tester (LC100-A) and tested some known value inductors and found it was not accurate at all.

A bit of research and I ended up parting with a few more $$ and bought a DER DE-5000. from ebay (out of Japan) Very happy with it.

I just bought this one "$15 ESR LCR ATMEGA 328".

I have a cheeapo chinese one but it is not very accurate at low
inductance like for PI coils. I've read these are much better...

        It's only $10 here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/222117628464...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Hi, I know you mentioned you have an analog multitester; what I would highly recommend is an auto ranging DMM.
