    Hi everyone,

I recently went to a estate sale in Brisbane CA and found a interesting item.
Im new to electronics and went to the estate sale for a advertised signal generator. When I got there it was gone.
I found boxes of components and other stuff I took.
This was on a shelf, Im not sure exactly what it does, maybe you guys can help me.

I didnt find out who had invented it untel I got home or eles I would have grabed more stuff.
It is from the late Paul Titchener who was on High tech heros.

He is also responsible for this.

Unfortunatly he comitted suicide of the bay bridge which is how his stuff ended up in a estate sale.

    My questions are.
What does this thing do exactly?
Does it have any value or is it just good for parts? ( why I grabbed it in the first place).
    It requires a +-12 v supply and +-5v supply.
    Should I fire it up?
What should I drive the signal with and what to expect?

Thanks in advance for your interest.

From the date code on the big chip, it's a 26 yr old prototype analog to digital converter with bit serial out. Very slow, and can be done in 1 ic now. Has a few screw machine sockets, but can't read the ic part #s. Strip the still useful prototype board of components for reuse and put the gold chip in a box until you have enough to sell to a gold scrap dealer. Hope you didn't pay more than $2 or $3 for it.
