soldering a board i ask you do not bend pins on board back side. you are NOT the manufacturer that uses this way
because such TECH PROCESS. the adhesion of copper to base is not so good you may be are hoping on.
yes, i do american projects for american people, i return america made on american faterland, but i order boards in China.
chinese adhesion is not same like american in oldtime.
you are only home maker like me and please hear what i suggest.
if you curve pins desoldering something you get THE SEPARATION OF PRINTED CONTACT PADS FROM A BASE.
you have to leave the pins RIGHT IN THE BOARD, NOT CURVE THEM ON THE BACK SIDE.

I have not watched all the vids on this thread so if someone allready sugested this sorry.
I use this to hold the components in place tell soldered .
When removing components I hang a weight on a alligator clip place the component over a small jar and heat from the back and let the weight pull the component then clean up with solder wick.
