this guy bought all boards from me. interesting story he told.
Sir,
I just received your email address through the eBay messaging system. Normally, eBay does not allow buyers and sellers to exchange email addresses. How did you do it?
You were kind enough to offer me the Gerber files of the LC board which I purchased three of from you.
I recently obtained a number of very accurate (PET) non-inductive capacitors which were all measured very carefully at better than 0.002% (@ 23?C) at a lab with traceability back to NIST.
All of these "standard" capacitors are nominally in the 2.2 uf range.
At my bench I have the ability to measure RF Frequencies very accurately down to fractions of a Hz with a GPS based master oscillator and my collection of old HP counters, generators, and spectrum analyzers.
I'm hoping to use your LC circuit, mounted in a temperature controlled box, with very rigid mountings, and very rigid test terminals, to create a series of "secondary" test inductors over a range of rigid, open "Air Dux" coil stock, and use those stable inductors to expand my range of of calibrated (PET) non-inductive capacitors.
These test capacitors and inductors, in a stable temperature environment, with your LC Oscillator board, should allow me to determine component values more accurately than my DE-5000 LCR meter to at least another decimal place.
As I suspect that this will be a long term project, and I will rebuild my test fixture more than once, it will be nice to have extra PC boards so I don't have to take apart the older test fixtures.
It will be nice to have the Gerber files so I could simply order more boards as I develop this project and make modifications in the input circuit to minimize the errors in my homemade component test fixtures.
Thank you again for your kindness.
Mike
