  • measuring the decay time of pi detector

    dear all:
    i need measuring the duration of decay time of pulse of coil the pi machine. can any one help me and please if have schematic share it.(with high accuracy).

      yes,i want measure and readout without oscope.with analog meter or digital (lcd or 7-segment)

        then you have to build a detector on chipo that will show you the data on LCD.

            Lots and lots of info here is these forums.Green is one member doing a lot of decay measurements so Search for his posts and READ.

            There is NO way to measure this with a meter. One MUST measure many points during the decay then plot and calculate the decay which should follow this equation:
            V = Vo *e^(t/TC) as has been discussed many times in the forums here.

                That task is just one of those things that Really requires a O Scope to perform. Seriously , I can't think of any other means to measure duration of Time between two points of a signal without one.

                  You can do what Eric has done. Measure change in integrator out, target - no target with a voltmeter at different delay times(same sample time)and calculate. Delay times should be>one or two times the target TC.http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showt...869#post253869
