  • merge pdf for toner transfer

maybe some of you can help me. I would have to print pcb on press n peel to carry out the toner transfer, the problem is that I have 4 pcb in separate pdf sheets and, since they are of the right size, I would need to print them together on a single sheet. this is because I don't own the laser printer and I have to bring the sheet and pdf from a friend to print it.
I went crazy looking for a solution to combine them in one page but I didn't get it. a little help? thanks!

Try GIMP. There is a merge option whereby you can combine images unto a single sheet. Or you can layer the files unto single pdf.
One way of doing this is to first convert the pdf into a jpg image. Then use Paint to just cut out the image from the sheet. Then load the images into GIMP and merge all images unto single pdf for export.
As far as maintaining the scaling, you may have to tinker a bit.

If you have the original Sprint or gerber files, then it's much more convenient to copy the layouts unto a single work area then export the pdf.

Open multiple sprint work areas by right clicking on "Board 1" ( at the bottom of the work area you will see "Board 1"), or by selecting "New Board" from the dropdown menu. Then you can load each layout into seperate "board" work areas, and the simply copy and paste layouts to a final "Board".
Now all your layouts will be on a single Board. You can position them as required by dragging them around etc.

For gerber file, simple import the gerber layouts you want by importing each layout unto its own "Board". Then copy and paste the layouts to a final Board. Then just export the pdf of that board by printing into "cups" ( select "Print" from the dropdown menu)
