EMI field meters?

I have too much EMI at my workbench and really- front of my house. I have had the power company scan the underground power lines without any negative findings. Would one of those trifield meters I see on Amazon/eBay help me find the source of trouble or are they crap?

no, not crap. i bought one and it sure shows EMI from a microwave.
