  • PCB fabrication on 3D resin printer.

step 1. Design PCB on Kicad or similiar
step 2. export DXF or similiar
    step 3. convert to STL
step 4. import to slicer software for resin printer and tweak print exposure times.
step 5. expose sensitised PCB on printer
    step 6. develop
    step 7. etch.

Ha! Nice one Moodz! Certainly is a neat idea.
It's been a long time since I etched a board at home, printing 0.1mm traces is one thing, successfully etching them, well!

      Cheers Mick

you don?t need photo sensitive pcb
just add some drops of uv resin into the tank between copper side of pcb and fep foil
then exposure a minute or so (first layer time for resin)
then remove pcb now you should habe the track lines covered with cured resin
wash the rest off with alcohol, reday for etching

Nice results, but... why? Yesterday I ordered (5) PCBs (about the same size) from JLC for $8.75 USD and $6.75 was for shipping. Double-sided, HASL, drilled, plated thru-holes, silkscreened... I haven't etched a PCB in many years now.

Which shipping option are you using and what is the average turn around time? I been using DHL for about $22 and have about a seven day turn around.

            Thanks

PS I have had some problems in the last couple days opening Geotech on my pc and phone? Get a "Database Error"

I use the China Post option and it typically takes 2-3 weeks. DHL is more expensive and faster and I use it when I'm in a hurry.

I am trying to figure out the access problem but the tech support guy I got at HostGator is an idiot.

Have to agree .. however I ordered 20 boards for USD25 and shipping was USD90 to where I live in Aus. So I was looking to do proof of concept boards ( ie made within 15 minutes ) vs waiting for them. ( ie the shipping cost is inversely proportional to the waiting time LOL )

Yikes, that's high shipping. Do you have a pic of an etched board? That's where I always had trouble.
