  • Leaky Batteries

Hello! Residues from leaky, bad batteries can be cleaned up with a product called "Lime-A-Way" - it turns the crusty stuff into soapy water. The old liquid worked faster than the new gel. Polish the metal contacts before new batteries are installed. It's saved some expensive electronics in the last 20 years - best hint I ever got from a hobby magazine! kertimjo

Another method and far cheaper is just pour boiling water from your kettle on corroded terminals

Keep batteries in separate housing. If they leak, it is not on and expensive PCB.
