  • best way to build a warning buzzer for low oil pressure

hey guys i have an '88 wrangler its tricked out with a 4.2 inline six ,bored out, big cam, 4bbl intake, header &c. it has the standard gauges and no idiot lights (unless they are burned out) i want to add a warning buzzer for low oil pressure and one for high temps. how would i go about figureing out how to regulate this with te stock sending units? would i have to modify the gauge with a sensor that is tripped by the needle on the gauge? . thanks.

Switched +12 ~ (C) on switch ~ (NC) on switch to + of buzzer or lamp or both.
Other side of buzzer or lamp to ground.

When you first turn on the key the buzzer and lamp will sound. Once the motor starts the oil pressure switch will open. If you loose oil pressure the buzzer and lamp will let you know. This is as simple as it gets and works fine.

There are some places like boat suppliers that sell a buzzer with a lamp biult inside.

    Hope this helps.
