    People help!
I'm doing reverse engineering on a very simple and stupid device.
And I have one big problem.
    To understand these connections.
Under a magnifying glass, microscope and with glasses, I can clearly see the inscription on the SMD SO-8 ic chip.
    It clearly says "OPA1612".
But when I look at the online datasheet.... nothing makes any sense to me ????
The connection schematic I am attaching here is 1000% correct.

A regular 2W/8 ohm speaker is attached to the device, it works loud and clear and everything is fine?
Either this is a wrong inscription on the chip,
or there are several chips with the same markings (a bit unusual) or someone faked the inscription ... although that also seems unlikely to me ...

I can tell you it has a 'common' pinout for a mono BTL audio amp in SO-8.
This is an example of a similar ( maybe even equivalent ) part:
      MD8002:
      MD8002A SOIC 8 pin IC – Makestore

      pdf datasheet:
      MD8002A Datasheet (sunrom.com)

      Another: Texas Instruments TPA721:
      TPA721: 700-mW Mono Low-Voltage Audio Power Amplifier datasheet (Rev. E) (ti.com)

I don't know what exact IC you have, but at least you have an explanation of the circuitry.

I agree, I use the PAM8302 and it has the same pinout. You can get chip companies to custom-label a chip (Garrett does this on their micros) and I've thought about doing just this, label a certain chip as a different chip that doesn't have the necessary performance. I would not be as obvious as this case, I would relabel a critical opamp as, say, an LM358 so the circuit still looks right but maybe has too much offset or drift.

I have not yet touched the bottom of the abyss of my ignorance!
          Thanks friends! It helped!

            BTW...
The more intelligent among us (you two are much more than that) will clearly see in this schematic a great opportunity to use this as a great little addition to add to...
(some already offer something like this on the market at "fat" prices).
So this topic of mine is (unintentionally) so productive!

It is not that one for sure, if you look the schematic I posted.
                Pinoout is different.
Although the inscription is clear and visible and says "OPA1612".
                Skippy nailed it.
