  • electronics treasure hunting

I am calling this thread electronics treasure hunting instead of electronic treasure hunting, because the term electronic treasure hunting is used to refer to the use of electronic devices in treasure hunting. Electronics treasure hunting is searching for electronics (parts, circuit boards, test equipment, appliances, etc.), just as one searches for coins, bottles, gold, or anything else. This thread is for for discussing ways of finding electronics. Please post your ideas and stories here.

    ELECTRONICS TREASURE HUNTING

For electronic parts for detectors, I hunt for old junky non-working detectors usually on ebay. I also trade and swap for non-working detectors and parts. Some detectors are so hard to find that the only way to get one is to find non-working models and put one back together! Joe

This thread is not only about finding parts for treasure hunting equipment. Also, I was talking about finding stuff, not buying it, although the latter subject is also a good one to discuss.

I've run a business for a long time, we repair all sorts of electronics, I have thrown away more electronics than anyone I know would ever own in a lifetime. Are you looking for something specific?
