This can confuse me a lot... better get a LCR Meter to be sure.

Resistors manufactured for military use may also include a fifth band
which indicates component failure rate (reliability);
refer to MIL-HDBK-199 for further details.

I have never seen one of these.

Maybe indicates the possibility of failure???? For space and military uses, maybe is very important...
