But all that soldering stuff requires you'll catch the fumes, some filter I mean. Or do you work just with the window opened ??? (like me, on winter.... when burnt the filter! and on budget! )

    Kind regards,

Yes. is right, also many components very difficult to find.

Here is hot time, so door and window are open.

brilliant..... so much stuff is tossed away.... and wasted..... it's great to see some one using components that would have been lost..... and documenting the " what and how "...... i'm short cutting this thred for reference......

Take all of that Gold Platted track and Fingers, Add Nitric Acid.

All Copper will be absorbed leaving only the gold.

Flush with distilled water through a coffee filter.

        Dry out the coffee filter.

You can now burn the coffee filter leaving only the Gold.

This method is clever... but require:

          1. you have plenty of concentrated acid
          2. that you'll create a solution full of toxic stuff and vapours will be a danger for your eyes, lungs etc
          3. then that you'll filter (use chemical grade paper for that, better than coffee stuff)

Now...it's dirty job... I know in China is very popolar today... at least in some places... but where you'll put then the particulates and loaded solution ???

And where to put the exausted fiberglass and solid stuff ???

it's all toxic after that process... and , though, can be good at industrial scale you'll better avoid at small , too few gold... too many troubles...

          Kind regards,

This method is clever... but require:

            1. you have plenty of concentrated acid

If done right all acid is recovered and reused. Wast Not Wont Not.

            2. that you'll create a solution full of toxic stuff and vapours will be a danger for your eyes, lungs etc

Yes handling Acid requires Gloves, Eye Protection at least. Done out side there is little fumes produced.

            The reaction is not violent.

If you Fear Nitric Acid Muriatic will work just takes longer.

The only products loading the Acid is Lead and Tin from solder and Copper from the Tracks, Fingers and back plains.

            3. then that you'll filter (use chemical grade paper for that, better than coffee stuff)

Coffee filters pre wetted with water work just fine.

Cheep, handy and burn most well.

Now...it's dirty job... I know in China is very popolar today... at least in some places... but where you'll put then the particulates and loaded solution ???

As stated Copper, Tin, Lead are the only products loading the Acid.

These are all recovered via Electrolysis as a Anode

Acid clean and ready for reuse

And where to put the exausted fiberglass and solid stuff ???

Fiber Glass has been rinsed in water, water added back to the acid . Wrapped in your favorite plastic bag and disposed of as any other house hold trash.

it's all toxic after that process... and , though, can be good at industrial scale you'll better avoid at small , too few gold... too many troubles...

No Note Really! Nothing Toxic leave my operation.

As a hobby, I make money. I just keep a jar steeping and when full I process it.

Or just sell it as gold bearing scrap on eBay.
