part id and where to buy

i have a garrett blood hound that i cant get to work. so i removed the front connector and found a small white square part with the # 1nj100 on it,it checks as being a open with a meter,is it bad?if it is,does anyone know what this part is called and where i can get one,or replace with something else,or remove it and use without it? thanks for any help.

Sounds rather like a polyester capacitor, 1 nanofarad, 5% tolerance, rated at 100 V DC max.It's supposed to be open-circuit.
