  • i search a voltage doubler

    hello,

for next project (igsl) i had idea to use a li ion accu pack 7,4V.
But igsl needs 12V so i want to use something like a voltage doubler it should have enough mA for igsl and it should be small.

If anyone here can give a shematic, pcb layout or anythink else i would be very happy.

    Every idea welcome, please help.

    Thanks Bernd

The sprint files, in the zip file, need to be checked !! Not made in real........
Look also at some White's schematics...
    Best regards.

Try the Voltage doubler set up Eric Foster used in this detector.

Running at 40KHz, I don't think the noise would bother you.

Why don't you just add an additional standard 3.7V cell to your Lipo battery pack? It's easier and more elegant since you'll end up with a cleaner signal.

                  hello mario

i have one accu pack of these but no loader/charger for it
every 18650 cell has to charged extra

but i have a charger for a 7,4V from a dealextreme magicshine bikelamp

my tripple 18650 works good, but its ti big to put it in detector box
and i dont want to open detector every i wnat to charge accu

but another solution could be a charger circuit for 11,1V
i dont know the best way

most here use 8*alkaline or 10*nimh external accu pack or older lead accu (very hevy)

                  regars bernd

I personally use a commercial charger. You will find several online reasonably priced with nice options like multi cell support, and multi battery support like Ni Cad, Li po, Li fe, Li ion and acid lead. The charger that I have came with adapter kit for different type of connectors.

If you want to build your own charger, there are several options:

                    http://www.google.com/search?q=lead%...&cd=1&ie=UTF-8

If you can find a public project with ti's BQ24450, please do let us know.
