  • Front panel decals

Hi everyone im asking a big favor to stop me pulling my hair out with fustration.
Has anybody here got front panel decals ie: firstly ... ground balance, threshold, gain, volume, pulse width, frequency, coil damping, isp, on/off, charger, etc.

Last but not least needed badly is a symbol of markings that can be put at 180 degrees round each knob.
Would prefer the symbols to each option rather than lettering as im restricted for space, but saying that beggers cant be choosers so just send me anything you may feel may be helpful.

Searched the net and theres very little, plenty of circuit symbols but zero decals in are field of production

Dont care if there bitman/jpg or anything else as long as there not formatted to use on a manufactures program like front designer which I have but is very limited, im designing with coral 3 which seems to fit the bill.

Please do your best on this one, I dont ask for much as you all know.
The deal is, sort this out and you get two things... firstly I tell you my secret, the most easiest cheapest way to make sucessful PCBs using things you proberly have already in your office/workshop, which todate is not on the net at all.
2nd will give a full tutorial on making a successful Minipulse 3 from scratch without all the agro of miss informed imformation that I had to go through.

    See im all heart

My email address is: [email protected]

    Thanks in advance

      Hi.
I tried the previous version of this:
      http://f1frv.free.fr/telechargement/Galva_187-3L1.zip
You can draw with it your customized scale, print it on a sticky-paper, then apply on it a clar plastic adhesive film.

Managed to make my first front panel decals although only tags to say what each thing does can only get better as its a learning game for me.

I presume nobody prints there decals on here unless they do as I had to do, recommend coral draw, was like a lost sheep or fish out of water, but managed the basic tags using a housing I had already made.
Next project shall make the box first from drawings using coral then decals, that way should be easer.
Main diffecuilty that was experienced was matching sizes from my hand drawing to coral so that everything matched to fit facia on final fit using one complete over head projection film.
But hey them who dares wins, done it, although basic labling its works for me, can now only get better as I learn the true power of coral draw.

Very suprised indeed how quite this thread was, with all the projects thats going on here, really thought that interest would flow steady with such a must have knowledge.
It makes a big difference to the end result to have controls that actually say what they do.
I desided on using overhead projection film for 3 counts, its quite cheap, can get 50 A4 sheets for £7, its robust therefore can be man handled and should last the life of the machine and finally works very well with laser.
Ive also bought some other type film that can be used with standard inject but not tryed yet, downfall already is the price £7 for 10 sheets plus its alot thinner, (size dosent always count, or so says the ladies), so time will tell, mainly bought that incase colour is required as my laser is only mono.
Didnt use decal transfer type paper purley because of price, its takes it a click further out of the bugget of diy manufacturing for either same or maybe slightly better result.

            Regards

                Nice work!
I can suggest you methods i've been using for longer period: Front Designer 3.0 and Corel Draw 9....
To make my job faster and easier; usually i "make" decal elements separate in Front Designer and than simply transfer them into Corel Draw by Copy&Paste!
The rest than is easy; Corel is EVERYTHING man need in such jobs!
