Hello!
I built an uncomplicated ROV for a max. operating depth of 200 MSW. I use it only in the fresh water lakes in AUSTRIA / EUROPE. The construction looks not like a typical ROV, it’s more a „towed camera system" with ROV – functions.
For the future I plan to extend my system with the following „options":
1)
The date and time should be added to the video picture, to have some VCR recorded „relationship" between the video and a GPS log file, which is created in a PC on the surface.
There is an interresting device called „DTT-1" (DateTimeTitler) from a company „DigiSpec" in CA. Does anybody know this device ? (price,....), other (better) ideas?
2)
I want to get the actual „ROV operating depth and some digital compass data" in the video, just beside the date and time.
Does anybody have a concrete idea for that.... small sensors, video interface....?
Specially I have no ideas about some compass sensors... ?
If someone has additional comments, it would be greatly apprecated.
