I was wondering if anyone might have the schematics (or know where to find them) of an earth resistivity meter that has a greater power output than that listed in the Geo site. Or perhaps how dificult would it be to alter the existing one to have a greater power output. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Shawn.

Re: earth resistivity meter
Hi Shawn,
You could pretty easily crank up the output current on the Beck design, just decrease R8 and R13. The output current is roughly 0.7v/R8 (or R13). The transistors should be able to handle a few hundred milliamps.
Out of curiosity, why do you need higher current? Depending on the ground resistance, you may not have enough voltage to drive a higher current. Then you would need to increase the +/- 18v rails.
