help!!!!!!

I have a problem with the construction of earth resistivity logger of john becker april 2003 and especially with the memory 24LC256 , it can't save the data of resistivity and when i put the button to send the data to the computer i cant find them because it sends nothing. my question is , whe should see the memory or the resostivity logger (as whe connect a usb stick ) when i connect the resistivity with the computer and does the memory wants to programme or drivers for resistivity or for the memory. And if the memory needs to be programmed how can we do this.. And something else at the magazine of april of 2003 at page 292 says for something data that we can download from www.microchip.com what is that ????
