Thanks for the info, Randy. I'm currently working on the flux gate mag and am about to try out an iron-on transfer method of making PCB's. I'll post a write-up on this if it works well as it will let you make prototype boards for a couple of bucks each.

I have been getting mail from Proton Mag Forum for sometime now,


you don't seem like the genius types not to say your not one, but


you pose answer's for us lay people so we can understand what is


being described(thanks). I posed a question here, that was never


fully answered, only directed to buy someone's expensive design.


How to make a cheap magnetometer like the GI's did after WWII, Iam


not looking for gold. Only some large WWII trucks buried at least 10


to 15ft deep, Iam working on a shoe string budget. Until I make my
