    Magnetics Inc. and Magnetic Metals supply Magnesil,


    Orthonol, Permalloy Supermendur Tape Wound Toroids in


    Aluminum Cases. The Figure below shows what the look


    like in Cross Section. The Case and G-10 Cover are are


    coated with an Epoxy to provide a hermetic seal, and a


    smooth insulating surface to wind on. If you use a wire


    larger the AWG 30, you could insulate the Case by


    wrapping the toroid with 1 or two layers of Mylar Film


    Tape (3M # 56), or Kapton Tape. Then wrap the toroid


    with PTFE Film to provide a smoother slick winding


    surface.


    I know Magnetics Supplies Cased cores with ODs from


    .225 to 8.21 inches.
