  • WESSON SALAD OIL

Phil: (&et al) I think you wrote with the suggestion you had gotten

from someone about "WESSON SALAD OIL". I just came back from the

supermarket where I checked on it. I think his advice had been from

a kinder, gentler age when Hunt-Wesson (Maybe just Wesson then) had

one kind of oil in a bottle.

To make a long story short -

    WESSON VEGETABLE OIL

    WESSON CANOLA OIL

    WESSON SUNDLOWER OIL

    WESSON CORN OIL

are the four (4) kinds on the shelf in my hick town grocery store.

I think withing the real of possible that in the "big city" they

might even have more, including possibly even "WESSON SALAD OIL".

Is there any chance you can talk to the same person and find out

which one he meant. My recollections from 30 - 40 years ago tell me

that what they had then was a corn oil BUT I really never paid any

    attention at the time.

    Best to all,

    Dale
