  • Fw: copper wire contaminated with ferrous material.

    CONTENTION: Occasionally nominally "pure" copper

wire is contaminated with ferrous materials. [At least one

manufacturer that I know of advertises 99.9% pure copper

    wire. - das]

This amount of ferrous contamination is so TINY that

almost anybody would consider it insignificant. BUT,

there is at least the supposition that there are some

toroidal coils wound for magnetomers that are perfect

in every verifiable respect and they do NOT work. [Real

life example would be most valuable if anyone has one. - das]

    ANSWER (Important - I THINK - das)

PLEASE do a reality check by winding some ferrous wire

over an existing functioning toroid an see how many Fe is

needed to make the thing not working any more!

This all is to save work(!), time(!) and money(!) and to

puzzle the poor manufacturers not too much ;-)

Famous last words: Oh, a Tesla coil - I heard you

can touch it without getting hurt ---> Zzzzzapp...
Working...
