I think that is the ringing you are seeing, and the other background
noise might be helped with screening the toroid with aluminium foil?
dont let it get through the centre of the toroid or it will make a
shorted turn.

thanks for your answer.
I just looked to my recordings to examine the frequency, it has
been about 750Hz. This is rather 1/3 of the
expected proton frequency!
The expected 2075 Hz was not to see on the scope. So I guess the
water inside the toroid isnt enough magnetized.
I'm rather sure of this because I can hear a noise coming from the
amplifier and filter which sounds like
a starting, a "pinging" oszillator at about 2khz and interferes
with any other signal (may be the proton signal). Its interesting
that this interference is allways there (without charging the
coil!) and varies in frequency (maybe 2-3 Hz) without any period,
its like a chaotic change. Maybe this comes from the geomagnetic
field. I have to do some more experiments on the weekend.
