metal detectors with scanner

data logger for metal detector

I was had a gradiometer with data logger, I removed the magnatometer sensors and replace with phone jack and connected it to a metal detector in the phone jack, the result was perfect, I could see all the metal detector signal in my PC.

The only one idea to use metal detector with a PC is a precision object discrimination. All other functions are well done without PC help, but it will be interesting to use metal scanner with a pocket PC(because a lot of funcions can be done at a softawre level and we also save portability of device)

Has anyone found any more information on this? This would save a us a lot of digging. I know delphi programing but i wouldn't know where to start at with this kind of program. Anyone got any idea where to start at?

I have the accurate locators program but they use it as a gpr program. I don't know if ti works in metal detectors. in case someone know about this, just let me know.
