  • Cylindrical Toroid

Is it necessary to build the toroid out of a plastic material?
Would a nonferous metal ie: Aluminum or Copper function properly?
Does anyone have a PPM operating with the control scheme designed by Jim Koehler? How does it perform?

    Thanks for the input. Ken

    Re: Cylindrical Toroid

    Ken,

I believe the problem with copper or aluminum is that it will appear as a shorted turn. You could probably use it if it had a slit around the entire circumference, but then you would have to fill the slit with something to keep your fluid in.

    Regards,
    Jeff
