Can any of you tell me what forms, shapes, or patterns are indicated by your mags for different magnetic anomalies?

Are any of you impacted by tempory variables such as diurnal, moon/tide changes, carrying/wearing ferrous material while performing field surveys, or any other external/internal influences?

It really depends on the type of mag as to how it will react to particular targets but you can get different indications.

Again ,as to whether you are impacted by the variables you mention depends on the mag. If you are using a dual sensor differential mag, diurnal variations won't affect your survey. With a more sensitive mag you should make sure you don't have ferrous material on you. I found out my shoes had ferrous eyelets for the shoestrings the last time I was out a couple of weeks ago the hard way.
