          Re: Jim Koehler's magnetometer plans

This is NOT the site describing the Jim Koehler's mag but the differential mag of Dan Fountain. However, the one from Jim, currently out of reach, is a much more detailed document supported by a very good principle description. If anyone is interested, I have made a copy of his main documents in PDF. Send me an email and you will get a copy of what I got.

                Re: Jim Koehler's magnetometer plans

It's neither Jim Koehler's, nor Dan Fountain's. I don't believe anyone has ever found out whose web site it is, as there is no name or email.

Jim Koehler pulled his mag design info off the web because he thought no one was interested. However, he has agreed to allow me to re-post it on Geotech. In fact, he wants to update some of the documents. I'll wait a couple of weeks, and get back with him.

Don't you think you ought to get permission from the authors to mirror their websites and provide their documents???

                              EPE Magnetometer

I've built and tested the EPE magnetometer. The only problem I had was the GPS input working correctly. I made a double sided circuit board (I do this stuff for a living) and I have 3 extra boards, if anyone is interested. The board is slightly different (the EPE one was single sided) but it works fine. If anyone is interested ($10 postpaid) let me know. JR
