About using the sheilded cables can we use Coaxial cable that is used in Networking or for TV Antenna The resistance of the TV cable is 75 ohms and that of the Networking cable is 50ohms which one is suitable and what should be the length of the cable to be in the green light zone please provide Sufficient help as the time is running out...
I need the amplifier design to work with the differential sensors that are of phil's and the single toroidal sensor...

    Re: sensor

An impedance of 50 ohms seems to be adequate, its central wire is thicker than the one from the TV cable. Its length should be as short as possible depending on the application but it depends where is located the electronic box in relation with the sensor. For a differential mag application, the sensors are usually close to the electronic box (1 or 2 meters) but for a fixed filed measurement station, the length could be 1à to 15 meters, so, you need to select low noise, low resistance shielded cable. I used low noise microphone shielded cable but I have been told that the RG-8 Mini coax cable is the ideal.
