Dalton Magnetometer

I just picked up a Dalton mag... got the works... 4-sensors, both land & boat-tow options, chart recorder. Don't think this thing was ever used, as one box was still sealed, and all pieces still have labels.

Wondering if any active denizens have one, as I will probably need some help sorting it all out.

Anyone know if Dalton is still around?

Carl, I found this on portup.com. The webpage was updated in 2002. I don't have any idea how this old material is but I pasted as follows:

M.L. Dalton Research sells differential proton mags as well as a book Searching and the Delta2 Magnetometer. Dalton also has an information packet ($3 last I heard) that's full of good info, as well as being a trip in itself.

Thanks Steve. I had also found the ph # in one of the manuals (from 1982!) and dialed it up... I'll be durned if Dalton didn't answer the phone! We chatted for a few minutes... yes, he still sells mags, even at age 75.
