  • Tuning the Mag.

I was cleaning my bench off (the pile was about 8 inches deep) and I found a pocket sized frequency meter that goes way down to the audio range. I will plug the headphone output of the magnetometer into the meter and rotate it in a set of V blocks. I should be able to adjust the mag to near perfect balance. Should be better than just trying to hear the "tone".
    Just another thought.

    Tuning the Mag.

    Hi Fitz,
I once preyed on the level sensors in the line E / W 1 m above the ground in free space (EMI).
Then in the working position of the gradiometer (V) had a large differential signal.
    This is a normal physics.
Plus the presence of the operator and the portable phone in his pocket.
Add reset the working position and effect a very sensitive you leap.
    Use your logger AMD7.
In what parts of the world you are, how the earth, earth?
    All yours K.
