So I have an Android based phone and found some cool useful software for free. In the app store I have found several free programs that use the mag in the phone to read the fields around you. The Droid I have can tall you the earths field strength and the angle it is at...

All for free. probably in the Ipod app store also.

Glad that you have a cool phone!
To seek the MAG in the field, leave it a few yards away from each other - EMI.
I have a GPS built in to the mag, and I will do tests, or by chance it does EMI.
It takes an additional 45mA, is accurate to 3m, the forest is even worse. This may be the Flower of Sheepskin coat.
