I just wanted to update this old post with the current status of our project.
Our MarkIV PPM is actually now is full production state and we deliver not only versions for underground surveys but also versions for underwater surveys with an integrated GPS and waterproof sensor container to be inserted in a fish.
We also provide a free PC-based Windows program to control the PPM and plot the results in real-time and review previously captured session files.
The PPM is equipped with an automatic tuning mechanism which allows it to be used anywhere in the world.
