  • Mxt-pro volumen control.

    hi all.


    I need to put a volume control on a MXT-PRO is simply put a pot in series with the speaker?, Or to do something else.

        I took apart an old White's 6000/Di Pro to see what the factory used, they used a 100K audio taper pot, so we should do the same.

        It's easy to wire up, I drew a little picture. Connect pin 1 to ground, pin 3 sound input from the logic board, pin 2 (what is called the wiper) output to the speaker.

          The 100k pot on the 6000 was used in a way you cannot replicate on an MXT. Different circuit. For the MXT, an audio taper pot in series with the speaker is most practical, and for that a 1k should work, and a 5k is a practical max. One upon a time Radio Shack had 5k AT pots.
