Beach Hunter 300 Mods?

Are there any BH 300 mods? Mainly changing coils like whites other detectors? water proof connectors?

Replacing coils is simple and straight forward. Remove all the internals, de-solder the cable connections at the board (good to photograph prior), unscrew the water tight spiral cable stress relief. Install stress relief on new cable, solder to board. Replace internals. Good to go.

I just did this very thing. switched from the 300 -12'' coil back to the smaller 950. My next step may be giving the D2 - 10'' coil a go. I love the Beach Hunter. Great unit.
