Is there a schematic diagram of this detector?

I don't yet, but hopefully I will get the time this summer, I'm in the middle of remodeling the kitchen right now while it's cool. I was going to California and I had heard that it was a decent detector, I didn't want to risk my good detector getting crunched on the trip, so I bought one, 38 bucks out the door. The cosmetics are UGLY, but the electronics are top notch, equal to a Tesoro. I can detect a dime at 15cm with the motion setting, but I really like the non-motion, 13cm. As my sweety would say "6" is enough for me". I'm curious what a good coil would get. I was really surprised. If any one is interested, I have removed the main board and could post pictures if they want to do some of the reverse engineering, I will have to remove the chip caps this summer to find what the values are.

why not i'd be interested in the photos, you need to nurse the coil, its definitely the weak link with these, mine ran fine for 3 years even with kids abusing it, then one day it just went "crackers".
it started falsing all the time, i tracked it down to water getting in to the coil, i opened it and cleaned it up, but that coil never worked again, fisher 1266 coils work on them but you have to cap for it.

Sorry KT, the quality is not good enough to read some of the resistor values. I will try to list them later.
