What i meant was: if you look at the GS4 schem, Currently the signal from the pre-amp goes into both channels. what i'm proposing is leaving the signal from pre-amp to the gold channel as is, then , interupt the signal to the iron channel and add a Variable delay (not sample delay), This variable delay effectively stores the signal for 25-500 milliseconds and then releases it into the iron channel.
The GB won't work if the 2 channels are skewed, as Reg suggested.
Carl , to GB any sample hold circuit or delay would need to be bypassed.
Reg, i like the sample hold idea - i have not the skill s to implement, i'm thinking a sample hold on each channel, but only one can be activated at a time. Which one? the one with the weakest signal, perhaps the whole thing can be switched on if the signal from the preamp reaches a certain limit... who knows. this would maximise responce from both channels.
I will try out a variable delay using the PT2399 maybe two of them to increase the delay to .7s, with some filtering, there are some input signal considerations, and where it would be added to the circuit... maybe after the 22k resistor in the diff integrator or after the first TL072...
A bit like the : http://sound.westhost.com/project26a.htm http://circuitsalad.com/2012/09/04/h...delay-circuit/ this one in particular.
But , as mentioned still a lot of work to do..
Also , the resistors on this TDI pic look like foil types... is this right?
If not the vishay catalogue will be my friend
Will see how i go on design , any suggestions would help... particularly on the signal strength after the integrators/ first tl0722....
