    Dear KT315 please read this

thank you. I do not know those people in your link and do not ever WANT TO KNOW. I got a schematic on Troy from Mrand, he is THE MAN for me. also you got schematic of Delta Pulse from me, not from Bulgarian guys there, not from Chief Engineer, not from New Product Development Engineer, not from Electronics Engineer, although Bulgarians make DP even now and sell it on ebay. if there is NOT CLEAR INFORMATION from anyone then he is not existing for me in the information field of Geotech. for me TROY SHADOWS was projected by Mrand.

From some weird reason i simply can't fully disagree with you KT315... indeed you are making some points here.

Dave, reply please Ivconic that you are NOT such guy with guitar, that you are another 'Dave'. for Ivconic any dave around is only Chief Engineer Dave from First Texas.

If he answer with "yes" or "no"; will that make any difference?

you are right in some meaning. no difference if no primary source of useful information. people ask questions and do not appreciate these concerning commercialism secrets.
even I constantly ask them to give pics of a board and nothing reaction getting. it is why I write NO ONE DIRECTION INFO, any info must be ONLY BOTH-DIRECTIONAL and more from you. FULL DUPLEX MODE.

They will not disclose details , we here usually are interested about, simply because that's their job, they make money and living from it.
If they disclose all what we would want to know here; they would stay with short sleeves at the end: no money, no job, angry wives, kids on street, mortgage is taking a house... get the picture?
Up to that point i agree with such attitude and behavior and i understand them.
                  But!
But i also understand you KT315 and your standing point here.
If some product is long time discontinued and obsolete, by all means, than i don't see a reason for keeping it so "taboo" and so "forbidden" to talk about, to elaborate it ... etc...etc
On contrary, i would also expect those projects to be freely published and shared to public, especially here and other similar places.
And who SHOULD be the one to do that?
Certainly NOT some troll, hacker or whatever, BUT exactly the one who stands as "official" in front of that project, preferably the original author.
                  Why exactly him?
Simply because he is most competent and most relevant to do that.
                  What would be the benefits?
There would be no misunderstandings and usual misleadings in project interpreting (so often seen on these forums).
Along with that there is also one, much more important, benefit (my humble opinion): legal support in free&wide peoples education.
This place outgrow usual forum form and became place for education.
It became real "school" for numerous future experts (of course Carl must be proud on that).
What's more satisfactory than fact that lot of (to you) unknown people worldwide learned something good from you directly?
And they are grateful, and they will always remember very good those first steps and your help!
Ain't all in a damn money!
Respect for your job, respect for your profession, respect for your professional obligations... but hey man; learn to give and share, don't observe world around you only through damn money!
                  Does this sounds like Communism?!
Hopefully not, because i am not communist.
I just don't see common brighter future without mutual help and share.
Life is short, you can't take it all with you "there".
You don't need all your lifework to be closed and forgot somewhere in some dark cellar.

So KT315, as you see; of course i can agree with you in some aspects here.
But you have to change your tactics. If you pi$$ them off with your demands: you will be the one with very short sleeves at the end.
                  Cheers
                  !

it is really a discovery for me that Dave is engineer of first texas... I am deeply damped... I did re-read his suggestions now.. and in the new light it looks like:

the Teknetics "frat brothers" DD's are probably the best electrical match to the Troy X3/5.
                    - buy from us the coils, because we are monopolists.
However, you'll have to rewire the searchcoil connector for the Switchcraft cable plug.
                    - you can not change the connector. because you guy are only the dummy in the electronics. you are need in big bro help of texas... our bro.

... must notice that ALL 'made of texas' in real are made in china. ALL! nothing made in USA.

As original coils for Troy are not so easily available, I would try Teknetics one. I don't care who made it as long it could really fit. And I don't see a problem to tell on public exactly how it should be rewired. You could have more customers To be honest, buying second hand Teknetics coil is easier to find than for Fisher CZ. Regards to all

In reading some other posts here, it looks like the CZ coils may be a better match to the Troy X3/5 than the Teknetics Fratbros. Meanwhile the basics of my post #25 still hold. I am not an electronics hobbyist and do not have time to research and then to guide someone else through on their pet project.

KT315: this is the first I've heard that no Teks are made in the USA, they're all made in China. How did you manage to discover this amazing factoid that nobody else on the planet knew?
